Brewed Bios
Before we get personal, there are a couple things that we're all on the same level with: Espresso obsession, customer satisfaction and a job well done! So, here's a little glimpse into the lives and minds behind the counter.
Natasha: Champion of vintage clothing, you won't meet a harder working lady anywhere (or one with as many awesome hats). We wouldn't be half the shop we are without her!
Shyama: Photography is her first love (along with her cat Pixel) but espresso is a close second. Though she now calls our flagship shop on West Street home, you've no doubt seen Shyama baking up a storm at our Bernard shop. When she is not behind the bar, she can be found with her camera in tow. Shyama is currently accepting applications for a new muse.
Sarah Rose: Lover of living, painter of rare beauty and smiling soul. You'll know she's working when her infectious laughter brightens your day.
Whitney: A café ninja with an impressive t-shirt and hoodie collection, she's a soy milk master on the steam wand. She also has the world's cutest dog.
Carla: Our dedicated roaster keeps us all happy with her impeccably hand-crafted beans. She is at the heart of what we do, providing you with the only locally-roasted coffee in Western Newfoundland. Small batches means there is more love in each cup and Carla keeps the coffee love coming.
Darren: Don't let the hair fool you – Darren's a bona fide musical encyclopedia under there. A connoisseur of espresso, he's also a great poet (but don't tell him I told ya).
Robin: She's a feisty one! If that cute smile doesn't get you her kick a** espresso drinks definitely will! She's a key player at our Bernard shop, helping to keep it all together. We don't know what we would do without our little Robin.
Diana: This lady is just as artistic in the kitchen as she is in the studio. Diana is our dynamo Jill-of-all-Trades, making everything from biscuits to soups. She makes it look so easy!
Doug: This social butterfly has a supernatural bond with espresso; a bromance if you will. Even when he's not working he can usually be found at our West Street shop working on his writing projects fueled by lots of Weeball Dark and the scattered Date Square.
Sarah (a.k.a Whiffen): This lady has great personal style, is cute-as-a-button and sweeter than Grandma's apple pie! She makes some killer drinks and is a true lover of sandwiches because "they are so versatile." Get her to make you a super special lunch next time you are in.
Katherine: Another one of the super adorable ladies who keeps our Bernard shop going. Her positive attitude keeps us all going when we need a boost. Katherine is also an avid baker, there is nothing she can't do!
Brittney: Artist-in-residence, we put her talents to work when things need a little freshening up around the shops. She absolutely loves being a part of the Brewed team and we are thrilled to have her working at both shops. She makes some great drinks, even Doug has given the stamp of approval!
Kile: A few minutes talking to Kile and your day is instantly brighter! He's the earth-loving, universe-hugging beautiful soul at our West Street shop. Kile is always up for a good chat and makes some stellar drinks to boot!
Riley: Our resident thespian, you can catch Riley gracing the Grenfell stage when she is not pumping out drinks on the weekends at our West Street shop. She hails from the mainland but we have adopted her in with the rest of our coffee collective.
Peter: When he's not tirelessly working he'll be found outdoors running, skiing, biking, adventure racing and, well, you get the picture. He's just as active in getting Corner Brook outdoors through group activities like cycling, skiing and snowshoeing. The founder of all things Brewed, he's an integral part of our community.
